Kick off
Onboarding
Documentation Review
Once onboarded, I started diving into the project’s legacy by reviewing decks, documentation, and past design decisions. I compared components from previous PDPs and explored the HP Design System to understand existing patterns and identify areas for improvement.
Wireframing
Low-Fidelity Wireframing
Medium Fidelity Wireframing
With the project requirements in mind, I began crafting wireframes that aligned with both the narrative and the selected components. I then collaborated with the project lead to refine the designs, ensuring a user experience that met business objectives.
Before moving on to presentation preparations, I anticipated potential questions about the new structure, ensuring that every design decision was well-founded and could instill confidence in the client.
Presentation
Once the designs were reviewed by the UX Lead, I focused on building the presentation decks for the client. Since the rest of the team was based in Hilversum and I was in a junior role at the time, I reached out to a platform team member for support in rehearsing the presentation.
During the client meeting, I presented our design decisions while also gaining valuable product insights from HP, which informed the next iteration. By the second review, both the client and the design team were aligned on the course of action for the next phase: UI.

My learnings
Auditing Existing Components: Review the current design system thoroughly to understand the visual style, structural patterns, and guidelines.
Identify Gaps and Needs: Determine where new components are needed based on user feedback, usability testing, or new product requirements.
Structural Integrity: To analyze design components that fit seamlessly into the existing structural framework, maintaining coherence and usability.
