About the client

Totalplay is a Mexican telecom company part of Grupo Salinas, offering fiber-optic internet, phone, and TV services to homes and businesses. Its FTTH technology ensures fast, stable connections, while Totalplay TV combines streaming, immersive sound, and Alexa integrations. It also provides business solutions in cybersecurity, networking, and IT.

Deliverables

Design of the following screens/functions on Figma:

  • Form screens (max. 2)

  • 1 loading screen

  • 1 results screen (with the ability to go back to the previous step)

  • Error screens (connection issues or similar)

  • Success screen that guides users back to the original flow

Objectives

Develop a new feature within the Totalplay TV advertising management portal that enables small and medium-sized businesses to create ads quickly and efficiently, leveraging the potential of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies to simplify the creative process and reduce technical barriers.

Role and responsibilities

UX Design

  • Mapped the user flow for the Gen AI step.

  • Designed and prototyped the user experience, based on the scope of work.

  • Collaborated with UI designers, developers, and product managers to align design objectives with business goals.

  • Participated in client calls.

User flow & wireframing

The first step was to align with other teams, like data and development, to define the scope and make sure everyone was on the same page. I led the conversation around what needed to be validated early on, which helped shape the direction of the project. This was part of a bigger effort by Totalplay to improve their return on investment by exploring how AI could support their advertising platform.

Once the overall flow was approved, I started designing wireframes that fit naturally into the wider experience. I worked with their existing design system to keep things consistent, reusing what made sense and creating new pieces where needed.

One of the biggest challenges was designing the first version in a way that worked now but could easily grow later. I had to make sure users could understand how to interact with the tool, even if they’d never used AI before. That meant thinking through things like business type, legal needs, and how the content they entered would guide the AI behind the scenes

Results

Default state screens.
